Total vehicle weight is reduced 149 pounds compared to the NSX-T, through the use of a fixed hard-top roof, lighter rear spoiler, single pane rear glass, lightweight BBS alloy wheels, a lighter battery, as well as a manual rack-and-pinion steering method in place of the electric power steering.

Second generation Honda NSX-R (JDM)

The Honda NSX

The three.2L DOHC V6 engine received special attention as well. Each NSX-R engine was hand assembled by a skilled technician using techniques normally reserved for racing programs. Components of the rotating assembly (pistons, rods and crank) were precision weighed and matched so that all components fell within a very small tolerance of weight differential. Then, the entire rotating assembly was balanced to a level of accuracy ten times that of a typical NSX engine. This balancing and blueprinting procedure significantly reduced parasitic loss of power due to inertial imbalance, resulting in a a lot more powerful, free-revving powerplant with excellent throttle response. The NSX-R GT was created by Honda solely to comply with the Super GT production-based race car homologation requirements. As JGTC rules required at least five production cars for any race car version to compete, the NSX-R GT was limited to a production run of only five cars.

Toyota Supra Turbo 1995 Mark IV

The Toyota Supra is a sports car/grand tourer, produced by Toyota Motor Company from 1979 to 2002. The styling of the Toyota Supra was derived from the Toyota Celica, but it was also longer and wider. Fast Furious Five Cars, Car Coordinator Dennis McCarthy is no stranger to the Fast and the Furious franchise. He was the picture car coordinator in Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious and now returns for the hat trick in Fast Five. The latest installment to compromise a hefty feature of 21 cars including Dom Toretto’s Dodge Charger brand.

In the last chapter of the Fast Five, we take a look at the many cars of Fast Five in an interview with the film the car coordinator Dennis McCarthy. If the last three films do not give him enough credibility, you may need to know that McCarthy is also the man behind the vehicles of the Green Hornet and Death Race.

McCarthy opened the interview by pointing that the selection of cars are “completely different” than the previous films.
