Ford Mustang GT500 Shelby
For the first time, Ford Mustang GT500 Shelby is going to an all-aluminum version of the 5.4-liter supercharged V8 that was in the 2010 GT500. This new engine is good for a 102 lb weight decrease, as well as 10 horsepower bump over the outgoing model — putting total output at 550 horsepower and 510 lb-ft. of torque.
One piece of technology that helped to make this muscle car a little slimmer was the addition of a Plasma Transferred Wire Arc cylinder lining. This Ford-exclusive technology is being applied for the first time, and helps to reduce weight by 8.5 pounds while also reducing friction within the piston rings and cylinder bores by coating the inside of the cylinder bores with special nanoparticles. Ford also says that this new technology will provide for better durability and improved heat transfer.

History of Ford Mustang, The Ford Mustang is manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. It was initially based on second-generation North American Ford Falcon, a compact car. Early on 17 April 1964 1965 Mustang was introduced in the automaker’s most successful launch since the Model A.
The Mustang has a new “pony car” class of American cars – sports car-like sections with long hoods and short rear deck, and gave rise to competitors such as GM Chevrolet Camaro, AMC Javelin and revised Chrysler Plymouth Barracuda. It also inspired coupes like the Toyota Celica and Ford Capri, which were exported to the United States.
The Ford Mustang is the third oldest nameplate in the manufacturing and has undergone several transformations to its current fifth generation.
The production of the 1965 Mustang VIN (encoded by Ford and the title in 1965 models began in Dearborn, Michigan on 9 March 1964 and the car was on the 17th to the public April 1964 introduced in the New York World’s Fair. It is the third oldest nameplate Ford currently in production in addition to the F-Series pickup line (the big board over the years, has experienced) and the Falcon is still in production in Australia.
