Pantera DeTomaso, The Pantera was a sports car company of Italy De Tomaso car produced from 1971 to 1991, with the last one to a customer has made during 1992. The word “Pantera” is Italian for “Panther”.

The car was born from the American designer Tom Tjaarda developed and replace the De Tomaso Mangusta. Unlike the Mangusta, which uses a backbone of steel chassis, the Pantera was a steel monocoque design, the first copy of De Tomaso with this construction technique. It made its first public appearance in March 1970 in Modena and was the 1970 New York Auto Show a few weeks later,. Approximately one year after the start of production Pantera its way into the hands of customers and production is already a remarkable run (by the standards of the Modena-built Exotica) 3 per day.
